Biographical Data

He participated as a notable young researcher at several international congresses held in: Budapest (Hungary), Bucharest (Romania), Moscow (Russia), Gdansk (Poland), Banská Bystrica (Slovakia), Brno (Czech Republic), Liverpool (England), Freiburg (Germany), Den Bosch, Helmond (Netherlands), Ljubljana, Portorož (Slovenia), Niš (Serbia), Opatija, Zagreb, Split (Croatia), Herceg Novi (Montenegro), Sarajevo, Mostar, Tešanj, Tuzla...

Several times he has won scholarships for academic exchange within the international programs ERSMUS MUNDUS (Brno, Czech Republic) and CEEPUS (Banská Bystrica, Slovak Republic), ERASMUS MUNDUS (SUNBEAM) (Split, University of Split),

European College of Sport Science (ECSS), Association of Professors and Professionals in the Field of Physical Culture and Sports of Sarajevo Canton, Tuzla Canton, Bosnia and Herzegovina.

He participated directly in the implementation as one of the leaders several of scientific - research and professional projects of the European Union.

He served as vice dean for teaching and student affairs at the Faculty of Physical Education and Sports, University of Tuzla.

He is a member of the Management Board of the Gymnastics Federation of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

By the decision of the Assembly of the Gymnastics Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2016, he was elected President of the Management Board of the GFBIH.

Almir Atiković was an international gymnastics coach who contributed to the development of many top gymnasts.

Director and owner of a Gymnastics club Tuzla with about 350 students.
