In the case of video recordings that were usually made, facial and pupil parameters were extracted using a tracking algorithm, which in a further step made it possible to determine the viewing direction in the vertical plane.
With this new, completely nonreactive approach, it is still questionable how valid the generated data is, for example, in other application scenarios and how economically the procedure can be implemented in practice.
