EN 3: Are gymnast's palms worth to research?
In gymnastics, contact between the gymnast and the apparatus is usually made with the feet and hands. When contact with the apparatus is made with the hands, the gymnast may be either in support or hang. Each position has a different effect on the palms, and when gymnasts perform movements, the effect is also different because a frictional force is added. Position and movement change the temperature of the palms, which is important for the gymnast's training load and health.
