322212 - Sensor-based movement analysis in trampoline gymnastics
The task of the judge in trampolining is to check the elements and difficulty values entered on the competition cards as well as the difficulty of the individual elements according to a numerical system. To do this, the judge must count all somersaults and spins for each vault during a routine and thus record the difficulty of the routine. This assessment can be automated using inertial measurement units (IMUs) and make the judges' task easier during the competition. Currently, no reliable method is known for the automatic detection and evaluation of the different elements to determine the difficulty of an exercise in trampoline gymnastics.
During the lecture, a possibility of automated recognition of simple jump up to complex exercises will be presented.
